SAP Security Patch Day for RISE with SAP

On the second Tuesday of every month SAP releases its security notes. In this series we review which ones affect S/4HANA on RISE with SAP, how urgent they are and whether your team or SAP ECS handles them, so your IT team knows what to do that same week.

Editions

Upcoming dates

Dates come from the calendar SAP publishes on its SAP Security Notes page. SAP has not yet published the 2027 calendar.

How to read each edition

Severity. SAP rates every note with a CVSS score and a priority: critical, high, medium or low. SAP treats notes with a CVSS of 7.0 or more as high priority.

Who handles it. On RISE with SAP, SAP ECS takes care of the technical layer: operating system, HANA database, kernel and Web Dispatcher. Fixes in ABAP code, such as those for S4CORE, SAP_BASIS or SAP_UI, are implemented on the customer side through SNOTE or a Support Package update. Each edition marks which is which.

What stays out. The bulletin includes products that are not part of a typical S/4HANA landscape, such as Commerce Cloud or development libraries. We list them separately so they do not get mixed up with what is urgent.

If you want someone to check every month which notes apply to your landscape and coordinate with SAP ECS, let's talk.
